SERVICES
VIRTUAL MUSIC CLASSES
These classes are live, interactive 30-minute Zoom sessions which involve sing-alongs, fingerplays, movement with scarves, and incorporate basic rhythm instruments. Don't have any instruments at home? No problem! I always offer ideas of household objects that will work just as well! Virtual classes will have the whole family singing and dancing along!
IN-PERSON MUSIC CLASSES
These 30-minute classes are fun, interactive group sessions. The classes provide opportunities for parent and child to interact together through musical activities and get to know other families in the group. Your child will learn sing-alongs, fingerplays and movement songs, as well as play with real musical instruments including drums, shakers, ukulele, violin, and more!
ABOUT
Hi, I'm Kelly! I'm a mom of two and a music educator.

I've been a music educator in elementary schools (K-7) for several years. I began local Beat Buddies classes based in Renfrew, ON in 2021 while on maternity leave with my second child. I've since expanded to also offer virtual classes as well as in-person classes!

I love seeing babies and toddlers develop and grow in their natural love of music. It's my goal that parents leave classes with the tools to continue to support their child musically outside of class. In our classes, we'll have lots of fun exploring sound and movement, using a variety of songs and musical instruments.

FAQ
WHAT INSTRUMENTS DO WE NEED FOR VIRTUAL CLASSES?
None! Wait...a music class without instruments? I'll explain. We do incorporate musical instruments into our classes, namely: shakers, sticks, drums, and movement scarves. However, if you don't have some, or any, of these instruments it will not limit your child from participating at all. Use our list of suggestions to find alternatives to each of these instruments with objects you can find at home! A shaker can be a small container filled with rice, wooden spoons can replace rhythm sticks, a bowl or box can be played like a drum, and a small blanket or towel can be used as a movement prop!
I HAVE MORE THAN ONE CHILD. CAN SIBLINGS JOIN VIRTUAL CLASSES FOR FREE?
Yes! The cost of virtual class is per family so siblings can absolutely participate together.
CAN OLDER/YOUNGER SIBLINGS JOIN IN-PERSON CLASSES?
Yes! We try to follow the age range outlined for each session of classes to ensure classes are at a developmentally appropriate level. That being said, if you have more than one child, you may bring an older or younger sibling along. They will still benefit from the class content!
